IM: Hometown?
TG: United Kingdom.
IM: Currently resides?
TG: New York.
IM: Occupation?
TG: Stylist.
IM: Who do you admire, fashion-wise that is?
TG: Rei Kawakubo for being challenging. Tom Ford for having a complete vision.
IM: Favorite photographer?
TG: Nick Knight for consistently pushing boundaries. He has been massively influential. Skinheads is incredible. And then all the digital manipulation stuff. He and Inez and Vinoodh really stand alone as far as that is concerned, they managed to make it look really refined from the very beginning.
IM: Favorite artist?
TG: Goya because it’s emotional and dark. It makes me feel something. I don’t know much about art.
IM: And designer?
TG: What Helmut Lang did in the 90s looks amazing at the moment. And Martin Margiela. But really one of the most important things for my generation is what Hedi Slimane did at Dior Homme. We are still culturally feeling the shockwaves of those collections. And it defined the silhouette of a generation.
IM: What do you wear the most?
TG: I got a beautiful button-less overcoat from YSL that I’m wearing everyday. I love it.
IM: Favorite fictional character?
TG: Just William – any optimistic loser

TG: A film for SHOWstudio, which I am styling and art directing. And I styled the cover story for the December issue of Paper magazine.
IM: Never travel without?
TG: A map.
IM: Heroes?
TG: Marilyn Manson, RZA, Malcom Mclaren. The writer John Michell who re-discovered ley lines and sacred geometry.
IM: Inspirations?
TG: Mistakes, errors, & integrity.

TG: There is kind of still a sense of community here. Everyone came here to do better and you can feel it.

TG: Marianne Faithful.
IM: What do you enjoy most about music (and dj’ing)?
TG: It’s great to hang out and listen to songs you haven’t heard in a while. And you get paid!
